Privacy Policy

SmartRaseed is an app that helps small businesses in India make receipts, GST tax invoices and bills of supply. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password. We store the password only as a one-way hash, so nobody at SmartRaseed can read it.
- Your business profile: business name, address, mobile number, GSTIN, UPI ID, whether you use the composition scheme, and the logo and signature images you upload.
- Receipts and invoices you create: your customers' names and mobile numbers, and, if you enter them, their address and GSTIN; amounts, dates, payment method, item details and notes.
- Technical data: when the app runs into an error it sends the error message, the screen, the app version and the device type, so we can fix it. Our servers also log IP addresses and request times for security.
Why we use it
- To run the service: create and store your documents, make PDFs, show your sales and analytics.
- To verify your email address and keep your account secure, for example with sign-in codes.
- To find and fix problems in the app.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Your customers' data
When you enter a customer's details, you decide why they are collected and how they are used, for example to give them a receipt. You are responsible for having a valid reason to collect them and for telling your customers. SmartRaseed processes this data only on your behalf, to provide the service to you.
Who we share it with
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers that store your data.
- Our email provider, which delivers verification and sign-in codes.
- Government authorities, only when the law requires it.
How we protect it
Data travels over encrypted connections. Passwords and one-time codes are stored as hashes. Each business can only see its own data, and admin access needs a password plus a code sent by email. We keep backups so data isn't lost if a server fails.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, in the app or with the deletion form, we delete your account, business profile, receipts, PDFs and images 7 days later. Signing in during those 7 days cancels the request. Copies in backups are overwritten within 30 days. Error reports are deleted after 90 days.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details in the app's Profile screen, and delete your account at any time. You can also ask us for a summary of your data, ask us to correct or erase it, nominate someone to act for you, or raise a complaint. Write to us at the address below. If you aren't satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
SmartRaseed is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
If something goes wrong
If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
